Wakame Root is the flowering part of the Wakame plant. It has a strong, sweet and creamy taste. It’s harvest the “old-fashon” way hand raking the ocean floor and is still only collected by women divers.
I soak for 15 minutes then rinse and set aside. Goes great in seaweed salads or on top of noodle dishes.
