His name was Allen Schrimsher but we knew him as Ouch!. It wasn’t until after his passing that we learned his name and who he was. He found us on the SuperTopo web forum. By us I mean the loosely knit group of climbers that frequented the forum and socialized via it. Ouch! in his past was a true mountain man. That we learned as well after his passing. But he wasn’t a rock or mountain climber. That’s probably why he befriended us.
What he did on “The Taco” is best just told by showing his work. He’d take photos that we would post and create cartoons. It was an honor to be “Ouched!”.
